Everyone has the ability to learn, it is just a matter of finding the right way for you to do it!  Self-esteem is a key to achieving so this is an important focus for me automatically leading to increased motivation and better grades. Learning is not just passing exams, but is also a process of gaining life skills. However, we all need to pass exams so alongside knowledge I teach exam technique to help you get what you know across to the examiner and gain more marks.

My qualifications include a BSc(Hons) in Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology, a BSc(Hons) in Forensic Investigation and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Science. I am currently studying part-time for my PhD in fire investigation focusing on electrical fires using data from the Kent Fire & Rescue Service to enable a more focused approach to fire safety.

Experience is key for a tutor and I have now been a teacher for 20 years. This has involved teaching Science ages 11-18, specialising in Chemistry and Biology with special educational needs experience. I have also taught IGCSE and IB in a top international school in Peru.  For the last 8 years I have been tutoring privately and for Fleet Tutors.  Alongside my tutoring role, I am a Lecturer in Forensic Investigation at Canterbury Christ Church University, leading modules in Science for Forensic Investigation, Drugs and Toxicology, Foundations of Forensic Investigation and Foundations of Forensic Science.
